On Saturday 6th August we will be hosting a new wildlife event with our neighbours the Norfolk Ornithologists’ Association. The event is free and aimed particularly at families and local people, sharing the enthusiasm that Drove Orchards and the NOA have for the flourishing wildlife at the farm.
The NOA will have plenty of interest to see at their wildlife stand, and will be offering information on bird ringing, with an opportunity to see demonstrations if conditions allow. Moth trapping will also be taking place, with visitors welcome to come and see what we catch at 11am and again at 2pm. There will be a chance for kids (and adults!) to take part in the Big Butterfly Count at Drove, and the chance to make your own bird feeders.
There will also be bags of information about the local produce at Drove Orchards, the wildlife at the farm and at the nearby NOA reserve at Holme Bird Observatory.
The event will take place between 10am and 4pm with free entry and parking, the opportunity for refreshments at Drove’s resident businesses and toilet facilities are provided. See you there!
